Fit it on the inside, not the outside
The sticker belongs on the inside of the windshield, behind the rear-view mirror zone, printed side facing out. Interior placement keeps the code out of rain, car wash spray and stone chips, and it still scans clearly through glass at a car-length distance.

A three-minute prep beats a lifetime of peeling
Wipe the spot with an isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol wipe to strip oils and dust, let it dry fully, then peel the liner from one edge and press the sticker down slowly. Finish by squeezing out trapped air with a soft card or silicone squeegee from the centre outward.

Removing it without residue
